Transfers Again!

Yep, that time came... And I am staying in Las Villas! However, Elder C is leaving... and he is going to La Victoria, one of the most dangerous areas in the mission haha. He isn't too excited. My new companion will be Elder V, I'm not sure where he is from, but I know he has plenty of time in the mission.

This week was pretty great!!! Two of our investigators, C and V, are progressing awesome. They are a young couple with one daughter, and their biggest issue is that they aren't married. However, they are preparing themselves to be married and baptized on the 28th of February! We are all super excited. They have come to church a few times already, and although they aren't completely sure, they have already come a long way.

Another family that has come a long way is the W R family. We visited the mom and two sons last week with a couple from the ward, taught a great lesson about the Gospel, and committed them to be baptized! The mom likes to read the Gospel Principles book, and is really learning and understanding a lot. The problem is that we still haven't been able to teach the dad, he is always working. Also, they couldn't go to church yesterday because the grandpa was pretty bad. However, he is getting better, and the family is really progressing.

We did intercambios with Elder M this week! He came here with me in Las Villas, and we had a great time. He is a well experienced missionary, and it was really fun being able to teach with him; I had forgotten what it was like to teach with a missionary with more time than me haha.

I love the opportunity that I have been given to be able to serve with everything that I have. I know that as we consecrate our time in the service of our God, the blessings that we receive are more that we can ever know. Have an awesome week!

Love,
Elder Toombs

fotos: We ate a ton of meat today, including ribs, pork, and Cabybara! (it was pretty good :) )

February 2, 2015 Hi!

Hi!

Sorry, I don't have time to write a complete letter. But here are some pics of the Centro of Bogotá! We had a great week, and I am happier than ever as a servant of the Lord. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ, that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that the things that we learn and apply in this church are the things that we need to achieve salvation. Have a great week!!!! I promise to write more next week too :)

Love,
Elder Toombs
